Alitalia asks for another year of cigs for 7,086 employees

27 July 2021 Alitalia in extraordinary administration has opened the procedure for an extension of another year (from 22 September 2021 to 23 September 2022) of the zero-hour extraordinary redundancy fund for a total of 7,086 employees, of which 6,877 for Alitalia and 209 for the regional company Cityliner.

This can be read in the communications sent by the company to the trade unions. The request, which will be negotiated with the workers' representatives, is higher than the total 6,828 workers currently affected by the cigs triggered in November 2020 and expiring on 23 September next.
