“Russia and Thailand intend to work out the issue of mutual recognition of vaccination certificates against COVID-19, as one of the steps necessary to open borders and resume communication between our countries after the stabilization of the epidemiological situation associated with the new coronavirus infection,” the statement said.

It is noted that the parties plan to develop cooperation in the control of other infectious diseases important for the region.

In March, Thailand reduced the quarantine period for foreigners vaccinated against COVID-19 from 14 days to a week.
