More and more elderly people are vaccinated with two doses and can live a little.

The balls and tea dances reopen their doors to welcome them.

Little by little, the regulars rediscover their favorite dance steps, as in Vegas, in Charente-Maritime where Europe 1 is invited on the track.

In this dance ball, the dancers leave their masks in the cloakroom.

Subdued atmosphere, crazy lights, launched orchestra, welcome to Vegas.

In Saintes, in Charente-Maritime, the vaccinated elderly can find their favorite dance hall.

"As long as I can swing my hips, I'll come. The day I can't, I'll stay home," says Pierre, on the track.

The boss of the Vegas has chosen not to reopen the nightclub for the moment but only an annex room for two weeks.

It allows vaccinated seniors to come and dance every Sunday afternoon, in complete safety.

"The old are vaccinated, the young, they just have to stay at home!"

After a year and a half of closure, Monique is having a little trouble reclaiming her body.

"It's hard to resume dancing because we weren't wearing heels during confinement and we took a little weight too," she says.

Before adding: "It's not that anymore!"

Here, almost everyone has their two doses.

"It reassures us," says Martine.

For Jacques, it's a turnaround.

Before, he heard "young people on TV" telling "old people to stay home".

Now, "the old are vaccinated, the young, they just have to stay at home!", Proclaims Jacques.

The health pass is the price of this carelessness: at the entrance, some unvaccinated or untested dancers leave empty-handed with their dress and bow tie.
