A small city-dweller found herself in the port of l'Embouchure, in Toulouse, on Saturday at dawn.
The owner of the car, however, did not lose control, it was plunged into this body of water connecting the Canal du Midi to the side canal on purpose.
This was observed by passers-by who were in the area around 6 a.m.
On their arrival, the police officers of the anti-crime brigade discovered two young people, one had pushed the vehicle while the other was filming it.
And neither of them was the owner of the said vehicle which they had found parked there, badly closed.
Arrested, these two young people of 19 and 25 years were placed in police custody over the weekend and will have to explain in court next September.
