- The fire is now almost extinguished, the alarm came in from a person who was preparing a clearing, says Magnus Holmgren, rescue chief on standby.
The fire spread over an area of about 100 times 100 meters at Sandberget outside Gargnäs.
The rescue service expects to remain until 3 pm before the responsibility is handed over to the landowner.
Magnus Holmgren warns that there is currently a great risk of land and grass fires in Västerbotten.
