Following Fujian, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hunan and other places, another province and city on the mainland has implemented this policy measure to refine the implementation of equal treatment for Taiwanese compatriots.

The social insurance system is a social welfare system provided by the mainland of the motherland.
In 2019, the "Interim Measures for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Residents to Participate in Social Insurance in the Mainland (Mainland)" was promulgated.
According to the Provisional Regulations, both Taiwanese compatriots who have been employed or those who are not yet employed can participate in the basic endowment insurance for local urban and rural residents with a residence permit.
After enrolling in the insurance, if Taiwan compatriots leave the mainland before reaching the stipulated pension requirements, they can choose to keep their account so that they can continue to pay when they come to the mainland to work or live again; or they can choose to apply for termination of the social security relationship in writing and withdraw in a lump sum Social security personal account deposits.
Taiwan compatriots who have been insured in Taiwan can also choose not to participate in the mainland's pension insurance and unemployment insurance according to their own circumstances.

For example, Kunshan, Jiangsu has made it clear that Taiwanese and their family members living in the local area enjoy the same medical and health services as Kunshan residents; Hunan, Guangxi, Sichuan and other places have proposed that Taiwanese with residence permits can apply for social insurance and enjoy the same medical treatment, etc. .
