A man in his 25s hit his head when he dived from a jetty at Köpingsbadet in Köpingsvik in Borgholm municipality.
The man is, according to Region Kalmar, so seriously injured that he is being cared for in the intensive care unit at the hospital in Kalmar.
The accident occurred at half past one on Sunday night.
The man is a resident outside the county.
