An ambulance helicopter landed on Bohus-Malmön in Sotenäs municipality after a drowning incident.

This is an adult, with unclear injuries, who was rescued from the water and taken to hospital.

The alarm came just before 1 pm on Sunday and is one of many drowning alarms for the country's rescue services during the hot weekend.

In Söderköping, alarms came about a drowning accident at 3 pm on Sunday.

At lunchtime on Sunday, the rescue service was alerted to the bathing place Malmön in the municipality of Köping.

A man lying in the water has been taken to hospital.

The injury situation for him is currently unclear.

In Strömsund in Jämtland, a woman in her 90s died after a drowning accident at 11 o'clock.

Three deceased on Saturday

On Saturday, several accidents also occurred.

A woman was taken to hospital after a drowning alarm in Katrineholm at lunchtime on Saturday.

Private individuals took her out of the water and provided cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Late on Saturday night, the police confirmed that the woman had died, Aftonbladet reports.

In Uppsala, bathers took a man out of the water at a bathing place.

He too was taken by ambulance to hospital, but was later confirmed dead.

And on Saturday night, another lifeless man was found at a bathing spot.

He was later confirmed dead. 

A man in his 25s is being cared for in the intensive care unit after hitting his head when he dived from a jetty at Köpingsbadet in Köpingsvik in Borgholm municipality.

Search effort is still ongoing

In Gothenburg, a small leisure boat with the engine running was found in the afternoon.

Helicopters, divers and boats have taken part in the search for someone who is feared to have fallen into the water.

On Sunday afternoon, the search was still ongoing.

There have also been several other drowning alarms elsewhere in the country - but there the people have been found unharmed on land.
