Beaten at the opening by Mexico, the French Olympic football team pulled off the 4-3 victory against South Africa thanks to Gignac and Savanier on Sunday in Saitama at the Tokyo Games.
After the inaugural slap received against the Mexicans (4-1), the French can thank André-Pierre Gignac, author of a hat-trick (57th, 79th, 86th) and Téji Savanier scorer in added time (90 + 2).
Kodisang (53rd), Makgopa (73rd) and Mokoena (81st) had scored the South African goals.
