The French basketball team, as in the quarter-finals of the 2019 World Cup, achieved a real feat by beating (93-76) the United States, big favorites for Olympic gold, for their entry into competition in the group A, Sunday in Saïtama, north of Tokyo.

This second consecutive victory against Team USA in international competition, which bears the seal of Evan Fournier author of 28 points, launches the Blues perfectly in the tournament.

A success on Wednesday against the Czech Republic, which fell from Iran earlier (84-78), would ensure them qualification for the quarter-finals.
