Eight drivers of Amat, the Taranto public transport company, are being investigated for aggravated sexual violence against a disabled girl of twenty.
The youngest is 40 years old, the oldest 62. She is just 21 and when she was 14 she was the victim of sexual violence by a neighbor (definitively convicted).
According to the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, which gave the news, the 8 are accused of sexual violence with the aggravating circumstances of having acted on a person subject to limitations of personal freedom (because almost always the place of the violence were scheduled buses to which the drivers closed the doors to prevent the victim from getting out) and for having committed the crime in the capacity of a public service officer.
Some would have limited themselves to groping, others would have had full sexual intercourse.
For almost two years, that is, from October 2018, when she was just of age until April 2020, the little girl burdened by mild but quite evident mental illness, would become a kind of sex toy on which to vent the worst instincts for a few minutes, including bus seats.
The ugly story has just passed the scrutiny of the investigating judge Francesco Maccagnano to whom the prosecutor had asked for house arrest for the eight drivers.
The judge considered that the ban on approaching the girl and her boyfriend was sufficient, and in June last year she convinced her to tell the carabinieri everything.
In the more than 100 pages of the order signed by the judge, the newspaper reports, the "violent and threatening conduct" of the drivers are described, reported by the girl to the investigators and to two psychologists.
They remained alone on the means with her and took advantage of the "fragility well known to the suspects, who did not hesitate to bend to an instrument of satisfaction and enjoyment for their sexual desires".
