On July 25, local time, the spokesperson of the Afghan Ministry of Interior, Mirwais Stanikzai, stated that the planners of the rocket attack on the Presidential Palace during the Eid al-Adha were captured, and they were all members of the Taliban.

The Taliban has not yet responded.

According to Stanikzai, the main organizer was a man named Momen who was captured by special forces in the fifth police district of Kabul.

This person is also related to attacks in other districts of Kabul.

Last week, on the first day of Eid al-Adha, when Afghan President Ghani was delivering a speech at the presidential palace, multiple rockets landed near the presidential palace and caused an explosion.

The police stated that no one was killed in the attack.
