Abu Dhabi reduces government fees for setting up businesses and renewing commercial licenses

The Abu Dhabi Media Office said today, through its official account on the social networking site, that Abu Dhabi will reduce the fees for establishing a business to one thousand dirhams, down 94 percent from the current rate, as of July 27, as part of efforts to empower the private sector.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office added in a subsequent tweet that the fees after the reduction include six activities within the trade license, as well as the fees of the concerned government agencies in Abu Dhabi.

The costs of renewing the trade license for current business owners were reduced to 1,000 dirhams, while continuing to apply federal fees for business establishment and renewal.

The new measures aim to enhance the ease of doing business in Abu Dhabi and lay the foundations for a thriving business environment that encourages growth and innovation, knowing that they will be implemented as of Tuesday, July 27, 2021.
