The spread of the Delta strain raises “Corona” injuries in Moscow to the peak

Russia recorded nearly 24,000 new cases of Covid-19 disease, today, and again announced the largest daily number of deaths related to the disease, with 799 deaths, but officials said that the capital, Moscow, may have passed the peak of infections.

The government task force on combating the pandemic announced 23,947 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours, a decrease of about five percent from the previous week.

In Moscow, 3,376 new cases were recorded, a decrease of 26 percent.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said authorities hope the city has passed the peak of infections, TASS news agency reported.

Today, Saturday, the total number of cases recorded in Russia since the beginning of the pandemic rose to six million and 102469 among the population of 144 million people.

The total number of deaths related to Covid-19 also increased to 153,095, and the country recorded today 799 deaths, which is the highest daily number of deaths since July 16, when it announced the largest increase in deaths ever.
