It is noted that the disaster affected the Raigad, Ratnagiri, Satara districts, as well as the Mumbai metropolis in the state of Maharashtra.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished the victims a speedy recovery.
Earlier it was reported that at least 20 people died in Indian Mumbai as a result of the collapse of several buildings, which was caused by a strong monsoon downpour.
