A woman attacked in the night from Thursday to Friday police officers in intervention in the Saint-Michel district, in Toulouse.

It was shortly after 4:30 a.m. when the police were called to intervene in a family dispute on rue François-Magendie.

Three policemen were waiting for an ambulance at the bottom of the family building and were with the husband in a car, when a woman approached them.

A policewoman then got out of the vehicle to ask her not to disturb the intervention.

This woman then returned with a bottle and threw a toxic product on them, which could be likened to acid, indicates a police source.

Two of them were hit on the hands and forearms, while their fellow peacekeeper suffered burns to the face and eyes.

The latter was transported to Purpan hospital.

Ongoing product analysis

Present on the spot as reinforcement in the context of the family dispute, the municipal police officers arrested this 35-year-old woman in the neighboring street of Notre-Dame at 5:05 am.

She was taken into custody and the contents of the bottle found on her are being analyzed.

The investigation was entrusted to the unit of attacks against people of the departmental security.

An attack on police officers condemned by the Alliance union which calls for "firm and exemplary sanctions".

He notes "still the escalation of violence in our society, free of charge moreover, of which the police are very often the first victims".
