The managers of the discos appeal against the choice of the Council of Ministers to keep their activities closed. Some of them have decided to challenge the new decree before their territorially competent TARs. This was reported by the Giustitalia Association, which explains: "through several appeals to the administrative courts presented by the operators, the managers ask for the cancellation of the new decree in the part in which it requires the maintenance of the closure of the premises".

The managers have nothing to object, however, to the obligation to wear a mask even while dancing. 2,500 companies in the dance club sector are interested in the closures, for a total of 50,000 employees and a total turnover of 5 billion euros (in 2019). About half a million, according to Giustitalia, Italians of all ages who would like to get back on track. "The managers are aware that this historical moment is quite particular, but sooner or later life will resume. And then people will realize that a third of the premises have closed, perhaps forever, because there is no State aid" he comments. 'Association. "Those who professionally carry out dance entrepreneurial activities - continues the note - have had no income for months and months, apart from a very small parenthesis of last July, and must (anyway) pay the rents, the employees, and there are families who live on these businesses. And then there are also tens of thousands of seasonal workers who live on monthly salaries now zeroed: waiters, DJs, musicians, security officers, barmen, club staff, dancers, entertainment companies ". According to Giustitalia, finally, for" the consequent deprivation of places that can be made safe and controlled by the police could entail the real risk of 'wild and abusive aggregations' (especially by children) in improvised private places without any health security and without any supervision ".and there are families who live on these businesses. Briatore: closed discos? In 200 thousand without work and solving nothing

"The decision not to open the discos? A huge damage, with 150-200 thousand people who will remain without work and will not solve anything, because young people will organize themselves with rave parties or evenings on the beach, without limits and without controls, instead of going to places with precise rules. We will see some good ones ". The entrepreneur Flavio Briatore, owner of the Billionaire in Porto Cervo, among other things, tells LaPresse the day after the government's decision not to reopen the discos. And the announced refreshments? "We are talking about 20 million euros, or the annual turnover of a large nightclub in Rimini: madness".

Bonaccini: "I would have made them reopen"

"The only thing I don't agree with, as we had already asked publicly, is that I would have reopened the discos and dance clubs" says Stefano Bonaccini, president of the Emilia-Romagna Region, on the sidelines of the visit of the regional council to Medicina, in the Bolognese area. "Reopen - he insists - the dance halls, reopen only those who prove to be vaccinated, removing risks from what is the maximum gathering place. My fear - underlines the governor - is that this implies that on the one hand some activities economic problems disappear definitively and thousands of jobs are lost, but on the other hand also that private parties proliferate that nobody controls and therefore the risk of gathering is multiplied. For the rest I am very satisfied ".
