An American doctor revealed something that many patients with the emerging coronavirus "Covid-19" were asking her before intubation in the hospital, so what is it?

We start in America, with Dr. Brittney Cuba, who is a physician at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, USA.

In an influential Facebook post, Cuba said that many strong young people who are hospitalized with a very serious infection from Covid-19 have not received the Covid vaccination.

late wish

"One of the last things they do before the intubation, is to beg me for the vaccine, so I hold their hand and tell them I'm sorry, because it's too late," she said.

Intubation is the process of placing a tube that connects a ventilator to the lung's airways through the mouth or nose.

And in many cases, corona patients whose condition deteriorates to this degree die.

The story was reported by many media outlets such as Alabama Media Group and MSNBC.

Dr. Cuban said that all but one of her patients - in Alabama - with Covid, did not receive the vaccine.

She said that this patient, who was vaccinated, needs only a little oxygen, and is expected to make a full recovery.

The doctor's publication was widely circulated on social media, with more than 13,000 participants and the likes of more than 7,000 Facebook users so far, according to research conducted by Sanad Agency in Al Jazeera.

Many users of the communication sites re-shared the doctor’s post, stressing the importance of taking vaccinations, as they republished parts of it in English and Arabic, asking their followers to take the vaccine doses assigned to them.

The doctor added that after a few days when she calls the families of these people to inform them of the death of their loved ones, she hugs their family members and tells them that the best way to honor their loved ones is to go for a vaccination and encourage everyone they know to do the same.

"They cry, they tell me they don't know, they thought it was a hoax, they thought it was political. They thought they wouldn't get sick because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin colour, they thought it was just the flu, but they were wrong," Kobia explained in her post.

The World Health Organization says that Corona vaccines provide protection against disease, as a result of stimulating the immune response to the Corona virus (the scientific name of the SARS-CoV-2 virus).

Stimulating immunity with a vaccine means reducing the risk of disease and its effects.

The organization adds that "this immunity helps you fight the virus in case of exposure. Vaccination may also protect the people around you, because protecting you from infection and disease will reduce the chances of you transmitting the infection to others. This is especially important to protect people who are at high risk of developing severe complications of the disease." COVID-19, such as health care providers, the elderly, the elderly, and all people with other illnesses.”

According to the American Mayo Clinic, the COVID-19 vaccine may help achieve the following:

  • It prevents you from contracting COVID-19 or from becoming seriously ill or dying from COVID-19.

  • It prevents you from transmitting the COVID-19 virus to others.

  • The number of vaccinated community members increases from infection with Covid-19, which slows the spread of the disease and contributes to herd immunity (the so-called herd immunity).

  • Preventing the COVID-19 virus from spreading and replication, the two processes that allow it to form a mutation that may be better able to resist vaccines.

When is the return to normal life after Covid-19?

In France, the head of the Scientific Council, Jean-Francois Delfraissy, says that a return to normal life after the outbreak of the Corona virus may not occur until 2022 or perhaps until 2023, according to Reuters.

Delfraisse, an adviser to the government, told BFM television on Friday that infections in France could reach about 50,000 per day by the beginning of August.

And Delfrisse had said yesterday, Thursday, that the fourth wave of new infections with the Corona virus will reach French hospitals in the second half of August.
