In the Stavropol Territory, they detained seven extremists who were planning a terrorist attack on the territory of a police department in Kislovodsk.

This was reported by the press service of the main investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the North Caucasian Federal District.

“On July 21-22, 2021, as a result of a complex of investigative actions and operational-search measures, in cooperation with units of the central apparatus of the FSB of Russia, the FSB of Russia for the Stavropol Territory and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Stavropol Territory, seven more members of the banned religious association from among the residents The Republic of Dagestan, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and the Stavropol Territory, ”the message says.

The ministry also named the names of the detainees: Rasul Umarov, Yusup Ismailov, Islam Tambiev, Anzor Kakhunov, Adam Darsaev, Makhach Bashirov and Rabadangadzhi Rabadanov.

At the moment, the investigation is petitioning the court to choose a preventive measure for the attackers in the form of detention.

It is noted that seven extremists were detained as part of a criminal investigation against 17 members of an international religious association banned in the territory of the Russian Federation operating in the Stavropol Territory.

At the same time, two members of this extremist community planned to commit a terrorist attack on the territory of the administrative building of the Kislovodsk police department using an improvised explosive device they had made.

The crime was suppressed by employees of the central office of the FSB of Russia, the FSB directorate in Stavropol and the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

We will remind, on April 5, the public relations center of the FSB announced the arrest of a citizen of the Russian Federation born in 1996, previously convicted for common crimes.

As indicated, the detainee was planning an attack on law enforcement officers using IEDs in the interests of international terrorist organizations.

Also detained were three of his accomplices - Russian citizens who were involved in organizing a channel for financing militants of terrorist structures in Syria.

They created a cell of supporters of the Islamic State * group to commit terrorist crimes on the territory of the Stavropol Territory.

On April 12, the Essentuki City Court, within the framework of this criminal case, imprisoned 14 people who organized a banned religious association and planned to arrange an explosion at a police department in the Stavropol Territory.

FSB special operations against supporters of terrorists
