"The most important thing is that before receiving the second dose of the vaccine, it is categorically not recommended to get sick with COVID-19," RIA Novosti quotes Pozdnyakov.

He clarified that "the immune system, having received the first portion of the antigenic load, begins to launch a full-fledged response for the subsequent development of protection."

“Three weeks later - by the time the second dose of the vaccine was administered - the immune response, as a rule, has already been formed, that is, the person is already protected,” the specialist added.

He also emphasized that in the first two to three days after vaccination, it is not recommended to expose yourself to excessive exertion.

Earlier, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that visiting the bathhouse, heavy loads and drinking alcohol on the day of vaccination against coronavirus infection should be excluded.
