This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press attaché of the Russian Embassy in China, Georgy Yegorov.
“The embassy contacted the local authorities, we were told that there were no Russian citizens among the dead or injured,” the embassy said.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said at a briefing that the ministry had not received reports of foreign nationals among the flood victims.
Earlier it was reported that at least 12 people died as a result of subway flooding in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou in Henan province.
