The number of infections is also slowly increasing in Hesse, but the incidences are still so low that the easing measures decided by the Corona cabinet can come into effect on Thursday in almost the entire state.

As long as the incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week, remains below 35, up to 750 people can meet indoors and up to 1500 outdoors, even without the approval of the responsible health department.

In addition, there is no mask requirement in indoor catering.

In doing so, Hessen has aligned the regulations for restaurants and pubs in the neighboring federal states.

For indoor events, there is no obligation to test if there are no more than 100 participants (including vaccinated and recovered people).

At public festivals and similar events, contact details only need to be collected for gastronomic offers.

Dance events in clubs and discos are, however, only permitted outdoors.

Only in Darmstadt and Frankfurt are the incidences currently approaching the new level of 35; they could be higher by the weekend.

Therefore, it is assumed in both cities that the previous corona rules will have to be maintained unchanged and that they will not be able to benefit from the announced easing.

Vaccination bus in Darmstadt-Dieburg

Meanwhile, attempts are being made in various districts and cities to increase the vaccination rate in order to expand protection against the corona virus. The Darmstadt-Dieburg district will be sending a vaccination bus on tour over the next few weeks. He will drive to different places in the district. District Administrator Klaus Peter Schellhaas (SPD) announced that the low-threshold offer is intended to accommodate all those who have not yet been able to take advantage of a vaccination offer.

The bus was equipped according to the medical requirements for corona vaccinations and now runs according to a fixed tour schedule.

It is intended to complement the mobile vaccination teams, which also offer vaccinations against Corona at various locations in the district.

The bus currently stops in front of the district building in Dieburg, in front of the Rewe market in Griesheim and the Edeka market in Alsbach-Hähnlein.

The tour dates are updated daily and can be viewed at
