The Ministry of Defense has decided to extend the large-scale inoculation centers in Tokyo and Osaka set up by the government for about a month until the end of September so that many people can continue to be inoculated.

The large-scale inoculation center set up by the government has a reservation limit of about 10,000 people a day at the Tokyo venue and about 5,000 people at the Osaka venue, and is scheduled to be set up for three months until the 23rd of next month.

The Ministry of Defense held a meeting of the response headquarters on the 21st and decided to extend the establishment of the center for about one month until around September 25, so that many people can continue to be vaccinated.

From now on, the first vaccination will be available until the 28th of next month at both venues, after which only the second vaccination will be available.

In addition, the reservation method will be changed so that reservations can be made even a few days later so that it will be easier to obtain and change reservations according to weather conditions such as typhoons.

After the meeting, State Minister of Defense Nakayama told reporters, "We decided to continue the large-scale vaccination center to ensure that those who received the first vaccination will receive the second vaccination. We will continue to do our utmost to inoculate people in Japan. "
