21 July 2021 In Lazio, the Delta variant is higher than 60% and the incidence of cases in the over 50s is 10 times lower than the overall data. This was announced by the Crisis Unit of the Lazio Region underlining that "this means that the virus is circulating especially among young people and it is essential that they get vaccinated".
"The incidence in Lazio of positive cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in the over 50 population group represents less than 5% and is at least 10 times lower than the overall incidence - explains the Crisis Unit - This means that the virus is circulating especially among young people and it is essential that they get vaccinated, for two reasons: to help reduce the spread and to reach the goal of herd immunity which means the safety of whole community ".
In Lazio, 100% of positive cases are being sequenced and the Delta variant is now over 60%, "for this reason - adds the Crisis Unit - it is important to get vaccinated and complete the vaccination cycle.
