“We are talking about revising the quotas for observation flights and the scale of distribution of expenses of the Consultative Commission on Open Skies (UNSC), as well as transferring the chairmanship to one of its informal working groups,” Ryabkov said, speaking at the conference of the states parties to the Treaty on Open Skies.

In his opinion, in order to resolve these issues, it was proposed to reactivate the negotiating mechanism created in connection with the withdrawal of the United States from the DON.

As Ryabkov noted, in the case of Russia, we are talking about withdrawing not only from the treaty, but also from the group of member states created within its framework, which includes Russia and Belarus.

Earlier, the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia until December 18 will fulfill the obligations of a member of the Don.
