The Sörmland region states that the booking pressure continues to look good for young adults, while at the same time following developments continuously if it should stop.

- We are happy and satisfied that so many have been vaccinated, but we are not done.

We will not be completely satisfied until we have reached a much higher percentage, says Charlotta Påhlman Lind.

Reaching young people via social media

Among other things, the region works with social media to try to get more young people to get vaccinated.

- We send out personal letters to those who are to be vaccinated and urge them to do so at the same time as we tell them how to go about making an appointment, she says.

Starting to vaccinate 16-17 year olds

It is now also clear that the region will offer vaccines to the county's 16- and 17-year-olds from week 32.

- Information will be sent home to the young people.

Over 80 percent of Sörmlanders have received a first dose, and 51 percent also the second dose.

The region expects that all large vaccination groups will have received two doses at the turn of the month between September and October.
