Title: red land lies to diplomatic envoys in China, Fujian colorful experience

Xinhua News Agency reporter Chu Mengmeng

"A single spark can start a prairie fire." When Mahendra Pandi, Nepal's ambassador to China, went to university many years ago, he read this famous article by Mao Zedong and remembered its inspiring title.

A few days ago, Pandey came to Gutian Town, Shanghang County, Fujian Province for the first time.

He is familiar with the history of the Communist Party of China and has a good understanding of the history of the party here.

"The Nepalese people really want to understand Chinese history, especially the history of the Chinese Communist Party." Pandey said, "This history can give people a lot of enlightenment."

From July 13 to 17, the diplomatic missions of 22 countries in China organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited many places in Fujian.

From the revolutionary history of the Communist Party of China to the achievements of contemporary China in poverty alleviation and ecological construction under the leadership of the Party, the envoys felt a colorful and three-dimensional China.

Witness the heart of the first hundred years on the red land

In the west of Fujian in July, the sun is shining and tourists are like weaving.

Somalia’s ambassador to China, Avale Ali Kurane, who had been to Fujian 10 years ago, lamented: “The changes have been too great, especially the infrastructure construction has improved a lot.”

In December 1929, the Ninth Congress of the Fourth Red Army was held here, establishing the principle of "Ideological Party Building and Political Army Building".

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and many tourists have come to remember and study.

"If you want to understand China, you must understand the Communist Party of China and the history of the Communist Party of China. This year, reviewing the history of the Party is particularly important." Courane said, "It is my job responsibility and personal responsibility It is also a pleasant journey."

After visiting the site of the Gutian Conference and the Gutian Conference Memorial Hall, Lao Ambassador to China Kambao Ntawan sighed that the Communist Party of China was born at the time of the peril of the Chinese nation and has been fighting unremittingly for the interests of the Chinese people for hundreds of years.

Kanbao said: "The experience of the Chinese Communist Party in integrating Marxism with China's reality has impressed me. More young people should come here to understand this period of history."

Feel the beautiful ecology among the green mountains and green waters

"This is a city full of greens." Standing on the shore of Yundang Lake in Xiamen, Syrian Minister to China Bruhan Al Khatib said as he took a picture with his mobile phone.

Yundang Lake is located in the prosperous urban area, 1.6 square kilometers of blue lake water, 1.2 square kilometers of lakeside green space, and a group of flying egrets, constituting a beautiful scenery.

However, dozens of factories once gathered by the lake, and the lake water was turbid.

In the past 30 years, through the closure of polluting enterprises and comprehensive treatment, Yundang Lake has gradually restored its ecology.

While listening to the story of governance, Samoa’s ambassador to China, Tapsaray Toomata, wrote down a few English words “give way to the tree” on the paper.

This is a concept followed by the local government in urban construction.

"Do not cut down the tree, but walk around the tree." Toomata said, "How does China strike a balance between environmental protection and economic development? Xiamen is an example."

Since the end of the 20th century, about 26,000 square meters of mangroves have been planted by Yundang Lake.

They are not only landscape trees, but also "heritors" of flood prevention and embankment.

"In Mauritius, we are also planting mangroves to consolidate seawalls and restore ecology," said Wang Chunwan, the Mauritius ambassador to China.

He was once in charge of environmental work in his country and gave Xiamen a "like".

Read the story of poverty alleviation in the "Golden Day"

"Are the people in the village still fishing now?" Wang Chunwan from an island country asked when he came to Xiaqi Village on the coast of Ningde City, Mindong.

Fishery is one of the important industries in Mauritius.

Xiaqi Village is the largest centralized resettlement site for Lianjia boat people in eastern Fujian.

Once, the villagers used boats as their homes for generations, wandering on the sea.

It was not until the end of the 20th century that boat people gradually moved ashore with the help of the government.

"There are still some villagers who will go fishing at sea." Zheng Yue'e, the secretary of the village party branch, answered Wang Chunwan with a smile, "but most of them have changed industries, and many are engaged in breeding and trade."

The village has now built small buildings with bright yellow walls, and the cement roads between the buildings are clean and flat.

The average annual income of villagers has increased from a few hundred yuan before landing to more than 20,000 yuan today.

"The story of poverty alleviation in this village is eye-catching," said Francis Anfei, the Minister of Micronesia to China. "When I go back, I want to write a report on the story here."

In the exhibition hall of "Eliminating Poverty" in Ningde City, Albanian Ambassador to China Selim Belortaya kept taking pictures at the exhibition board: "I think these poverty alleviation experiences are worth introducing to people in more parts of the world. An introduction in English!"

"Close ties with the people and put people first", in Belortaya's view, this is the "code" for the successful governance of the Chinese Communist Party.
