The Supreme Committee charged with examining the developments of the Corona virus in Oman has approved a package of measures that include closing all commercial activities, banning movement of individuals and vehicles, and preventing the performance of Eid prayers, markets and gatherings until the dawn of the 24th of this month.

The curfew will continue partially after that, from five in the evening until four in the morning until the end of the month.

The committee decided to allow the movement of individuals and the opening of food stores and bakeries in Tire only between seven in the morning and five in the evening on Tuesday and Wednesday, as a result of being affected by the heavy rains.

In Japan, the authorities announced the registration of 9 new infections with the Corona virus in the Olympic Village, 3 days before the opening of the Tokyo Olympics, and the daily report of the organizers stated that one athlete was among the cases.

This brings positive tests since the beginning of July to more than 65 among participants and organizers.

The President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, had said that the Tokyo Games send a strong message of peace and solidarity, even with the increase in Corona injuries among athletes, which overshadowed the event.

Next Friday, the Olympic Games will start in the Japanese capital until August 8, after the tournament was postponed for a year due to the Corona pandemic.


In Morocco, on Friday, a package of precautionary measures begins, including a partial night curfew, with the aim of limiting the spread of the virus.

The government said, in a statement, that the measures include a ban on night movement nationwide from 11 pm to 4:30 am, and it explained that movement between governorates will be restricted, with the need to present a certificate of receiving anti-virus vaccination, or an official license for movement.

It will also be prohibited to hold all parties, weddings or memorial ceremonies, provided that the burial ceremony does not exceed a maximum of 10 people.

The procedures also stipulate adherence to a maximum of 50% of the capacity of cafes, restaurants, public transportation, and public swimming pools.

As well as not to exceed gatherings and activities in open spaces for more than 50 people, with the obligation to obtain a license from local authorities in the event of exceeding this number.

The government stressed the necessity of maintaining the precautionary measures approved by the health authorities, in terms of physical distancing, general hygiene rules, and placing masks, to confront the pandemic.

And she warned that the risk of the epidemic still exists and continues, with the emergence of new strains in the Kingdom, and that a remarkable increase has been recorded in HIV infections and the number of deaths in the recent period.

As of Monday evening, the total number of injuries in Morocco reached 558,785, including 9,466 deaths, and 533,229 recoveries, according to the Ministry of Health.

Iran recorded a record number of daily infections with the Corona virus, according to what the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday, with temporary closure measures entering into force in Tehran.

The ministry reported that 27,444 injuries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of injuries to more than 3,570,000.
