The Department of the Punitive and Correctional Establishment at the General Command of Sharjah Police, in cooperation with the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions at the Ministry of Interior, "The Faraj Fund" and the Sharjah Charitable Society, distributed "Eid clothing" and "Children's Day" to 47 needy families of the institution's inmates, with a value of A total of 142,000 dirhams, while the Eid Eid was distributed to 160 children of the inmates, with the aim of providing a helping hand and assistance to them, especially in the absence of their breadwinner, and to bring joy and happiness in the hearts of their children.
The Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution of Sharjah Police, Brigadier Ahmed Abdulaziz Shuhail, said that the launch of this initiative, which lasted for six consecutive years, comes within the framework of the Sharjah Police General Command's keenness to enhance community participation and communication with families, especially the families of the convicts, based on the humanitarian dimension of the role of The Foundation, and supporting initiatives aimed at caring for the children of society, in addition to bringing joy to the hearts of children, and instilling hope in the hearts of their families.” Brigadier General Shuhail pointed to the importance of spreading the culture of care and containment of the families of inmates in the community, and the importance of concerted efforts of all society in its various institutions in the reform process of the inmate, referring to the many initiatives and programs implemented by the administration of the penal and correctional institution, in cooperation with partners, with the aim of standing by The inmate's family, to reduce the burden of living as much as possible, in order to enhance social solidarity for needy families.
