19 July 2021 The new alarms on the resumption of covid infections for the delta variant, the hypotheses of new closures have not gone unnoticed by the markets. A very difficult start to the week for European stock exchanges, all in sharp decline, and for business in particular, the black jersey in the old continent: - 3.34%, with the Ftse Mib returning below 24 thousand points. London, Paris and Frankfurt are not far behind, with declines of around 2.5% while on Wall Street the Dow Jones lost more than 2 percentage points. Sales hit all sectors, from banks to industry, passing through the energy sector which paid for the drop in the price of oil: Brent below 70 dollars a barrel after the agreement reached with difficulty just over the weekend, to increase its production. Among the worst stocks, Enel (which today detached the dividend), -5,07%, Banca Bper, -4.97%, Saipem -4.73%, Exor-4.75%.
