As it became known earlier, on Monday, Tikhanovskaya was scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and his Deputy for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland.

"She will meet with senior White House officials, no meeting with the president is scheduled," Psaki said.

In April, the KGB of Belarus included Tikhanovskaya and more than ten other people in the list of persons involved in terrorism.

A criminal case has been initiated against her in the republic for the preparation of an act of terrorism by an organized group.

Belarusian Prosecutor General Andrei Shved announced that he had received a refusal from Lithuania to extradite Tikhanovskaya.
