As stated by Roskomnadzor, YouTube has become the leader in terms of the amount of illegal content that has not been removed.

The service has already sent over 24 thousand requests to the Google administration to remove prohibited content.

“According to the monitoring results, the video hosting administration has not removed about 5 thousand prohibited materials.

A significant part of them contains materials from extremist and terrorist organizations banned on the territory of Russia and in other countries of the world (propaganda and propaganda materials of ISIS *, Hizb ut-Tahrir ** and other organizations), pro-narcotic and other socially dangerous content ”, - said in a press release from the service.

Since the beginning of the year, 11 protocols have been drawn up against Google on this issue, and three protocols have been considered by the court (the amount of fines is 6 million rubles).

Nine more fake videos about the coronavirus remain unremoved, the ministry said.

If, after receiving the notification, the YouTube administration did not restrict access to prohibited information within 24 hours, then it could be fined in the amount of 3 million to 8 million rubles, added Roskomnadzor.

On July 18, Roskomnadzor demanded that Google remove all restrictions from the YouTube channel of the Senator of the Federation Council Alexei Pushkov as quickly as possible.

On the eve of the video hosting has removed the release of the program "Postscript", which is hosted by the parliamentarian.

The head of the State Duma's Committee on Information Policy, Alexander Khinshtein, spoke in an interview with RT about the essence of the bill on the "landing" of IT giants, which will oblige the corresponding corporations to open their offices in Russia.
