It was at one point in the spring that the mother took a stranglehold on one of the daughters, hit her in the face and threw her on the floor.

She is also said to have kicked the minor daughter in the head.

The mother, who is in her 30s, is also convicted of beating and strangling her other daughter.

She herself admits to certain acts of violence but denies several of the charges.

Got death anxiety

The beating caused death anxiety for the two young girls, who then fled the home and slept in a stairwell.

Shortly afterwards, they were placed in a family home in a secret location.

- It is clear that they feel bad and will need a long time to feel confident in adults again, says Bo Karlsson, special representative for one of the girls.

Reported unrest several times

Enköpings-Posten has previously reported that the children have been subjected to violence by their mother for a long time.

There have also been several reports of concern at the social administration in Enköping.

The mother must now pay damages to both daughters.

At the same time, she is acquitted of a case of assault and minor drug offenses.

SVT Uppsala has sought the woman's defender.
