During a few intense weeks in the early summer of 2020, the man and his brother and another companion traveled around the Mälardalen valley and made home visits to men and women in their 80s and 90s.
By pretending to come from the real estate company with the task of checking for a water leak, they gained access.
Once inside, one brother walked around the home picking up valuables while the other held the victim.
Charged
They ended the visits by charging SEK 20 with an electronic box and were thus able to access both a bank card and a code.
One brother is already serving a prison sentence after being convicted in another district court and the assistant has been allowed to do community service.
Prison awaits
Now the other brother in the theft league is also judged.
Eskilstuna District Court decides that the man should be imprisoned for one year and ten months for aggravated theft, aggravated fraud, attempted aggravated fraud and several minor offenses.
