British aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth left her home country in May last year with destroyers, frigates and submarines and passed through the Suez Canal earlier this month.

After completing pirate training with American and Japanese ships in the African Gulf of Aden on the 11th and 12th, they continue to sail east.

After that, they will conduct training targeting China with US forces in the South China Sea and East China Sea, and arrive at the Busan Naval Base at the end of next month.

It is the first time that an entire foreign carrier group is visiting Korea at once.

A government official said in a phone call with SBS, "We will carry out military diplomacy activities for a week, including Media Day on August 30 and a citizen visit event on August 31."

In particular, it is known that the schedule for joint exercises between the Korean Navy and the Queen Elizabeth Carrier Group is being coordinated in the East Sea.

A government official explained that it will be a three-dimensional training in the air, sea, and underwater in which Queen Elizabeth's F-35B aircraft will sortie.

The government and the navy are expecting the effect of arousing public opinion on the light carrier through Queen Elizabeth's visit to Korea, which is similar in structure and performance to the Korean light carrier under construction.
