The Ministry of Health confirms the effectiveness of the drug “Sotrovimab” for the treatment of corona
The Ministry of Health and Community Protection, in cooperation with the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai Health Authority, confirmed that sotrofimab is effective for treating Covid 19 in curing mild to moderate cases of infection in patients most at risk.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office stated, on its website, that 6,175 patients in the UAE received the drug sotrofimab during the period from June 30 to July 13, which led to a complete recovery for 97% of those who received it within 14 days of receiving the drug, and prevented the development of the disease to 100% death, and 99% prevented patient from entering intensive care
The Abu Dhabi Media Office indicated that about 52% of those who obtained the drug are 50 years old or older, including those infected with Covid-19 who have various diseases such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and others.
