The heavy rains also caused the flow of wadis in Wadi Towa, Al Ujaili, Al Huwailat and Wadi Al Qour, in the mountainous southern areas of Ras Al Khaimah.

Yesterday, heavy rains fell in the eastern regions, which led to the flow of valleys in the mountainous areas, and rock collapses occurred on Wadi Al-Helou Street and the Masafi and Dafta areas of the Emirate of Fujairah.

The Wadi Al-Helou road witnessed heavy and medium rains, which led to its flow, and consequently, the main road leading to Kalba and Fujairah was cut off.

The Sharjah Police quickly closed the new Kalba Street, located in the Wadi Al-Helou area, leading to the entrance to Kalba and Al-Munai’i area, for four hours, and stopped traffic, due to the speed of the flow of water laden with stones, with the aim of securing the movement of vehicles in the area and saving drivers from accidents drifting or drowning.

The municipalities of Khorfakkan, Kalba and Fujairah confirmed their readiness to face the rains in the coasts of the eastern region with more than 300 manpower, drivers and workers equipped with equipment, pumps and suction tanks.

The southern parts of Ras Al Khaimah witnessed many flocks to enjoy the rainy weather near the valleys stream, which necessitated the presence of traffic patrols to facilitate traffic and maintain the safety of road users in areas of rain.

The National Center of Meteorology attributed the state of atmospheric instability to the influence of the southern Arabian Peninsula (which includes different parts of the UAE) with an upper and surface depression extending from the east, which works on the flow of water vapor from the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman to the surface and upper layers of the atmosphere. He explained that the shallow air depression, high surface temperatures, and the presence of the eastern mountains represent dynamic and thermal factors that raise the moist air upwards.

He stated that with relative cooling in the upper layers of the atmosphere and the occurrence of the condensation process, some local clouds are formed and developed, in addition to the flow of clouds from the east, to create the opportunity for light to medium rain, sometimes heavy, with cumulus clouds, especially on the eastern and southern regions of the country.

Dust and dust-inducing winds are also active, leading to a decrease in horizontal visibility.

The center expected the weather today to be partly cloudy to cloudy and dusty at times, interspersed with cumulus and rainy clouds, especially in the eastern regions, while the winds will be southeast to northeast, light to moderate in speed, active at times, and they will be dusty and dusty, and their speed ranges from 15 to 25 km / h, and up to 40 km / h on the sea, which is turbulent to medium waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The center stated that the weather tomorrow will remain partly cloudy in general, and dusty at times during the day, with the possibility of the formation of cumulus clouds to the east, which may extend over some internal areas.

The winds will continue to be southeasterly to northeasterly, active at times to be dusty, and their speed ranges from 15 to 25 km / h, reaching 40 km / h on the sea, which is light to medium waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. .

Regarding the weather next Tuesday (the first day of Eid al-Adha), the center expected it to be partly cloudy in general and dusty at times during the day, with a chance of convective clouds forming over some eastern areas, pointing to a rise in temperatures, while the winds will be southeast to northeast. Light to moderate speed, sometimes active to be dusty, and its speed ranges from 15 to 25 km / h, up to 40 km / h on the sea.

The center added that the weather next Wednesday will generally remain partly cloudy and dusty at times during the day, with a chance of cumulus clouds forming over some eastern areas, while the winds will be southeast to northeast, light to moderate in speed, active at times and causing dust.

According to the center, the mountainous regions, eastern and southern, of the country will be subject to the formation of convective clouds, during the current month, as these clouds develop due to the mountains and high temperatures, and result in rain in the afternoon periods.

In the second half of the month, some areas of the country are also affected by the formation of some convective rainy clouds at times.

The center explained that the land and sea breeze cycle plays an important role during this month, as the country is affected by southeast winds at night and in the morning and by northerly winds during the day.

It is also sometimes affected by active south winds, especially during the morning period, which may be laden and raise dust.

• The continuation of the activity of dusty winds today, which may lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility.
