A Brazilian man having fun at the beach with his friends died in a horrific midday accident.

According to foreign media such as the New York Post on the 15th local time, Marcelo Rocha Santos, 51, was drinking with friends at Piedad Beach in northeastern Brazil on the 10th.

Around 2pm, Santos wanted to go to the bathroom.

However, there were no public toilets on the beach, and in the end, Santos decided to go into the water and do his business.

Sebastian, my friend, who was with me, also went to the waterfront.

There was a safety sign on the beach saying 'Do not go in the water', but Santos and Sebaschao ignored it and walked in until their backs were submerged.

There were also lifeguards on the beach at the time, but it is known that they did not actively stop the two.

Then something shocking happened.

A shark in the muddy waters began to attack Mr. Santos violently.

The beach quickly turned into a chaos.

Friends quickly pulled Mr. Santos out of the blood-red water, but he had already lost a hand and part of a leg.

Santos was taken to the hospital emergency room, where he died.

Afterwards, Mr. Sebaschao explained, "It rained a lot just before, so the sea was not clear, and the waves were strong, so I couldn't see the water. Even though the shark came close to my nose, we didn't all know."

Sebastian, who saw the accident up close, said he has not escaped the trauma to this day and said, "If I had been swimming in the water or had been inside for a little longer, I would have been attacked."

It was determined that the attack on Santos was a 'snake shark', which is a large shark. Although they do not consider humans to be prey, they are known as sharks, which are violent and attack humans for no reason.

It is known that 12 shark attacks have already been reported on the beach where the accident occurred, which is even more pitiful.
