"More than 100,000 people gathered early in the morning, driven by a desire to protect their country from both foreign interference and the unrest on the island, aimed at creating political instability in the country," Cuba's Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.
The demonstration was attended by representatives of trade unions, student organizations and labor collectives of state enterprises.
Earlier, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported on cyber attacks on its website from the United States and European countries.
