Passed the 72-hour trial operation assessment and officially transferred the power plant into commercial operation.
The swing of Unit 15 is less than 100 microns, creating the best record in the history of the installation of a million-kilowatt unit.
Unit 15 is the third million-kilowatt unit to be put into commercial operation after the first batch of 2 million-kilowatt units of Baihetan Hydropower Station were safely put into operation on June 28, with a distance of only 19 days.
This unit is the same right bank unit as the first batch of Unit 14 put into operation for power generation. Both units were installed and commissioned by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Electromechanical Company. The unit body installation began in December 2019, and it entered the final assembly on November 28, and May 15, 2021. It was successfully launched once a day, and was connected to the grid on July 10, and entered a 72-hour trial operation on July 14.

Baihetan Hydropower Station is a major national project for the implementation of "West-to-East Power Transmission". It is the largest hydropower project under construction and the most technically difficult hydropower project in the world. It has the characteristics of high standards, and its development, installation and commissioning are the most difficult. It is the "Mount Everest" of the world's hydropower industry.
The power station has a total installed capacity of 16 million kilowatts, and 8 sets of 1 million kilowatts hydroelectric generator sets are arranged on the left and right banks, which are invested, constructed and managed by China Three Gorges Corporation.
Among them, the 8 million-kilowatt units of the right bank power station are all installed and commissioned by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Electromechanical Company, all of which are developed by Harbin Electric Motor.
One million generating units can generate 1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per hour, and can generate 24 million kilowatt-hours a day, which is enough to drive all electricity consumption from production to life in a small and medium-sized city.
Its strength is the first in the world.
It is expected that all units of the Baihetan Hydropower Station will be put into operation in July 2022.
