A citizen university student has created candles that are handmade in the country, with the scents of Arab perfumes extracted from local ingredients, noting that it will not be limited to candles only, but aims to provide more than one product that is used inside homes with aromatic scents.

The student, Eliaziah Al-Muhairi, told «Emirates Today»: "My goal is to make my project an Emirati brand (brand), a global launch, and therefore I do my best in manual manufacturing, and subjecting the product to evaluation by specialists in the field of perfumes, until I reach the desired result, And the first step in that began by mixing musk with the ingredients of the candle, as a preliminary experiment, and the result was good.”

She added that all the components of the candles and the container holding them are made of local materials, pointing out that she named her project “Min Al Arab” to be a distinctive mark in marketing inside and outside the country.

Eliazia stated that she started thinking about her project, after the emergence of the "Covid-19" pandemic, and was inspired by the idea of her grandmother, who has a long history of manufacturing "dukoon" in the country, noting that she found from her grandmother and her family full support to start her project.

She pointed out that all the ingredients are natural, especially in perfumes, so they give off a strong fragrant smell, noting that she started offering her product online, and it was highly appreciated by consumers, which encouraged her to continue manufacturing these candles.

Eliazia participated in a number of specialized national exhibitions, so that the public could learn about her work, noting that she had recently participated in the “Title Your Art” exhibition, which was recently organized by three female citizens in Dubai, which was an easy way to communicate directly with members of society.
