July 16, 2021 The Maltese authorities are planning to organize flights for the repatriation of Italian, German, Spanish and French students quarantined in Malta because they tested positive for Covid-19 or because in contact with their travel companions or English schools in Malta. which have ignited the outbreaks of contagion.



As far as we know, the flights could be operated next week but it is not yet clear whether even those who are still positive will be allowed to leave. The number of Italian boys placed in quarantine in a covid hotel has risen to over 250 between full-blown positives and negatives who have come into contact.



Meanwhile, the army of students arrived in Malta to study English, with the closure of schools decided by the Maltese government since last Wednesday to extinguish the outbreaks of contagion from Covid, the study holiday has turned into a study holiday opportunity for thousands of young Europeans who had booked language courses. Those who are not in quarantine have paid hotels and tickets for the return at the end of the course now canceled: swarms of teenagers and young adults meet in the streets of Valletta, on the boats of the mini cruises to Comino and Gozo, on the beaches of Sliema and St. Julians, but also in the medieval streets of the ancient capital Medina.



According to the Times of Malta, the tourism ministry is also thinking of organizing flights for the early return of students left without schools.
