 A man was injured in a possible violent crime in the Fulda district of Lehnerz on Friday.

Another man was provisionally arrested as part of a police operation, said a spokeswoman for the Fulda public prosecutor of the German press agency.

The background is still unclear, as the injured person is in hospital and is currently unable to be questioned.

The other man is currently not commenting.

It was initially not known whether there had been an argument before and who of the two men was involved in the incident.

 After a rear-end collision near Frankfurt Airport on Autobahn 3, two cars caught fire and three people were slightly injured. According to the police, the motorists involved were coming from the airport in the direction of Würzburg on the motorway one after the other on Thursday evening. At the end of the acceleration lane, a 33-year-old driver had to brake. While the driver behind him braked in good time, a 46-year-old man sitting at the wheel of the third vehicle did not keep a safe distance. He drove into the middle vehicle and pushed it into the 33-year-old driver's car. The two vehicles also collided with the warning barge at a construction site and immediately caught fire, the police said on Friday.According to initial estimates, the property damage amounts to more than 30,000 euros.
