Emergency services and an ambulance were alerted just before eight o'clock to the site, which is a few miles west of Sorsele.
It is about a single accident with a person in a car, and the injury situation for the driver is still unknown.
- It was private individuals who came past the site and saw that the car went off the road, says Ulf Lundström, rescue chief on standby.
Rescue units are on site, including an ambulance helicopter.
- The road is completely closed.
The police are there and the helicopter has just landed, Lundström says at 21.15.
