This is the investigation within the investigation.

Three months after the appeal trial in the case of the burned police officers in Viry-Châtillon in 2016, the Créteil prosecutor's office on Thursday opened this judicial information against X for "forgery in public writing", "fraud in the judgment" and "violence volunteers ”, the whole by“ person depositary of the public authority ”.

These qualifications repeat those covered by four complaints that were filed by the defense of several young people, accusing the investigators of the departmental security of Essonne of having falsified the investigation to implicate them wrongly in the attack.

Several points denounced

Denouncing the investigators by name, the lawyers believe that the interrogations were transcribed to the detriment of the defendants, and that the "culprits would have knowingly been released".

According to them, the police officers wrote the minutes "by modifying the meaning of the statements, by evading the protests of innocence, a large number of detailed explanations and without recording the requests for verification of the elements proving the absence of involvement" of their two clients, acquitted on appeal, while one of the two had been sentenced to eighteen years' imprisonment at first instance.

Moreover, according to the complaint, the key witness of the investigation did not "spontaneously" produce a "list of participants in the attack" as assured by the investigators.
