15 July 2021 European stock exchanges are advancing in deep red. Declines of more than one percentage point for Milan, Paris and Frankfurt, just below for London. In Piazza Affari, almost all sectors were negative - the only exception being the medical sector, with the sector index reaching + 0.17%, driven by Amplifon, which was better than the list. Concerns about the resumption of infections weigh heavily, but also fears about inflation, which in Italy in June was confirmed at 1.3%. Bad start also for the American indices, which after weeks have been falling back on historical highs for a few days. The Dow Jones lost 0.27%, the Nasdaq 0.43%. While the price of oil continues to fall: Brent oil falls by more than 1% compared to yesterday and passes below the threshold of 74 dollars a barrel. On the government bond front,spread between BTP and German bund rising to 105 basis points; yield of the Italian 10-year at 0.72%.
