Dubai Customs resolved 81 cases of property disputes amounting to 11.3 million dirhams in the first quarter

The Director General of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, stated that the total number of intellectual property dispute cases, which the department worked on resolving in the first quarter of this year, amounted to 81 dispute cases, with an estimated value of 11.3 million dirhams, and in 2020, 255 cases were resolved from Intellectual property dispute cases, with an estimated value of 62.2 million dirhams, which shows the progress achieved in combating counterfeit goods by addressing them and preventing their entry from the border crossings of the Emirate of Dubai.

This came during a reception by the Director General of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Intellectual Property Association, Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Al Obaidli.

During the meeting, a visual presentation was presented on the bilateral participation and cooperation between Dubai Customs and the Emirates Intellectual Property Association, as well as future cooperation and Dubai Customs' participation in the Tenth Regional Conference for Law Enforcement Agencies to Combat Intellectual Property Crimes in the Middle East and North Africa in December 2021.
