The Emirates Foundation for School Education reported that the number of students eligible for golden residency is 2,036 in public and private schools that implement the curriculum of the Ministry of Education.
Yesterday, the Foundation called on students and their families to communicate with the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, or the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, to start the procedures for obtaining their residency.
She said that granting the golden residency to outstanding students comes in appreciation of their efforts, and within the framework of the UAE government's direction to provide an incubating environment for distinguished and exceptional talents to be permanent partners in the development process in the Emirates, provided that applications for golden residency are submitted through the Emirates Foundation for School Education.
The UAE government announced the granting of a long-term residence visa (golden residency), for 10 years, to high school graduates and their families who are residents, in various tracks.
Golden residency is granted to outstanding students who have obtained an excellent grade, or an average of at least 95% in the general secondary certificate, or its equivalent, from public and private schools, as well as university students from inside or outside the country, who have a cumulative average of no less than 3.75, or its equivalent, in specific scientific disciplines, while the scope of residency extends to students' families as well.
According to what was announced by the Foundation, the overall success rate among 12th graders in all tracks, in public and private schools that follow the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, reached 91%.

Student Ahmed Selim, one of the high school students, said that the UAE is a land of opportunities and dreams, expressing his happiness with the decision of golden residency for outstanding students, because it will enable him to live in a country he grew up on its good land, and have great love and affiliation, and aspires to study medicine, and join The first line of defense, and tender to a country that embraced it with love.
He pointed out that the decision represents a very great incentive for him, and motivates him to always progress and strive, thanking the UAE leadership, which is always the first to contain what is distinguished.
The Yemeni student, Fatima Saleh Al-Shaamli, who won first place in the general track in public education, from Maria Coptic School, considered that the UAE represents the largest supporter of youth, and believes that real wealth consists in building and supporting the human being, as it provides support to students in their stages of study. and enabling them to join the labor market, which is what young people desperately need to build a promising future.
Al-Shaamli said: "The UAE is my second country. I grew up in it on love, tolerance and giving. It is a country that respects and develops people, contains talents, and advances their capabilities."
Maryam's father, Saleh Al-Shaamli, stressed that the decision represents the greatest support for the outstanding students and their families, and is an incentive for the outstanding students to continue their educational journey vigorously and competently, and are keen on excellence and scientific excellence, pointing out that his daughter and her family have all the love and appreciation for the leadership and people of the UAE, which is concerned with building people and the future. and youth development.
