The UAE ambassador to Israel officially inaugurates the country's embassy in Tel Aviv

Today, Mohammed Mahmoud Al Khaja, UAE Ambassador to the State of Israel, officially inaugurated the UAE Embassy in Tel Aviv, in the presence of Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel, and Maryam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Food and Water Security, as part of strengthening bilateral relations in light of the Abrahamic Agreement for the historic peace. Which was signed between the UAE and the State of Israel in September 2020.

Herzog delivered a speech in which he said: "The opening of the UAE embassy in Tel Aviv is a new stage in our joint journey towards a future of peace, prosperity and security for the Middle East... Seeing the UAE flag flying proudly in Tel Aviv was an unattainable dream just one year ago. In many ways, it is now a normal thing.”

For her part, Al Muhairi praised the progress witnessed in relations between the UAE and Israel since the signing of the Abrahamic Peace Agreement.

Commenting on the historic opening of the UAE embassy in Tel Aviv, she said: "This is a new era of development and prosperity for our two countries. The opening of the embassy represents a milestone and will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences across various vital sectors. We look forward to strengthening cooperation in a way that contributes to achieving our vision."

In addition, Al Khaja said: "It is time for a new approach and thinking to determine a better path for the future of the region. We hope that the opening of the UAE Embassy in Tel Aviv will represent a cornerstone in the growing relations between our two countries and peoples."
