14 July 2021 On the field on the first day of the Serie A 2021/2022 calendar, Genoa will be the team that will baptize the Italian champion Inter, coached by Simone Inzaghi. As for the other matches, drawn today, the return of Maurizio Sarri to Empoli with Lazio, Eusebio Di Francesco in Reggio Emilia with Sassuolo, on the bench of Verona, stands out, while Josè Mourinho will make his debut as Roma coach against Fiorentina.

The tournament will start on August 22, with the novelty of the two 'asymmetrical' groups. The second part of the season, in fact, for the first time in Serie A, will have a completely different development than the first leg. The championship will close on May 22nd. Five midweek shifts: 22 September, 27 October, 1 and 22 December, 6 January. Five stops for the national teams: 5 September, 10 October, 14 November, 30 January (non-European teams), 27 March, stops for the Christmas holidays between 23 December and 5 January.



The first day of return


Milan-Rome and Juventus-Naples are the two big matches of the first return day. This is the outcome of the draw of the Serie A calendar, which for the first time will present the matches of the second round in a different order, both as a sequence and as a composition within a day, compared to the first leg.
